JC_LS140 Jefferson City, MO Tue Feb 24, 2015 MO Dept. of Ag-USDA Market News Springfield - Livestock Marketing Center Cow and Bull Auction 2/23/2015 Receipts: 158 Last Week: 0 Last Year: 596 Compared Monday two weeks ago, slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 2.00-3.00 higher. A high percent of the offering was cull dairy cows. There was a very light supply of bred cows and cow/calf pairs. The remnants of slush from last week’s ice and snow refroze yesterday making it difficult to get around in off road areas. Supply was light and demand very good for slaughter classes.
